Roger Waters Welcomes Eddie Vedder For ‘Comfortably Numb’ In Chicago

Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters continued his Us + Them Tour on Sunday night at the United Center in Chicago. The concert concluded with a version of the Pink Floyd classic “Comfortably Numb” featuring Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder singing the part made famous by David Gilmour.
Vedder had previously performed “Comfortably Numb” with Roger Waters at the 12/12/12 benefit at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Pearl Jam started covering the tune in the Fall of 2015 and continued to play “Comfortably Numb” regularly through 2016. Eddie also performed The Wall gem a handful of times on his recent solo tour.
Eddie emerged with little fanfare in Chicago on Sunday for the “Comfortably Numb” finale. The vocalist belted out the lyrics as Waters smiled and the crowd went wild. Roger Waters continues his tour on Wednesday in St. Paul.
