Roger Waters Performs Trio Of Live Debuts At North American Tour Finale In Vancouver
By Andy Kahn Oct 30, 2017 • 8:33 am PDT
Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters wrapped a lengthy Us + Them North American Tour on Sunday night with the second of two shows at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena. The concert and tour ended with Waters offering the live debuts of a trio of songs from his recently issued solo album Is This The Life We Really Want?.
Waters’ show on Sunday began by sticking to the tour’s scripted setlist mixing tracks from the new record with classics from the Pink Floyd catalog. Favorites from Pink Floyd’s beloved albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon, Animals, Wish You Were Here and The Wall were performed alongside new album tracks like “Déjà Vu,” “The Last Refugee,” “Picture That” and “Smell The Roses.”
The final three songs from Is This The Life We Really Want? had not been played live prior to last evening’s encore. Waters addressed the Rogers Arena audience prior to the live debuts of the sentimental “Wait For Her,” “Oceans Apart” and “Part of Me Died.” Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” was then played to wrap up the show and tour.
