SOULFUL MODERN POP GROOVE COMES TO STATES

Rodina unrelentlessly emphasizes quality and sweetness. Sort of like an angel holding court in a smokey, chilled underground bar. A classy performance ….” – Manchestermusic

Rodina
This week, Rodina, a new band featuring Joe Tatton, keyboardist of The New Mastersounds, will perform as the opener for George Porter Jr. and the Runnin’ Pardners at Cervantes’ in Denver, CO on Friday, January 20th, and Saturday, January 21st. The band will be comprised of Tatton, singer Aoife Hearty and Denver musicians from the Kinetix and Fox Street All Stars.

Rodina shares some of the vibe and flow of Morcheeba, Portishead, Astrud Gilberto and other modern explorers of mood and texture in a pop-rock context. Their sound is easy to like and fun to explore, and besides the Cervante’s shows, Rodina will perform February 2nd at the Old Town Pub in Steamboat Springs, CO and February 3rd and 4th at the Mangy Moose in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Rodina released Over The Sun, their Tatton produced debut, in the U.K. last year, and this will be a rare chance to see the material live and pick up a copy of the currently import-only release.
