The Wallflowers bulked up their Bringing Down The Horse 30th Anniversary Tour with 28 new dates. The group led by Jakob Dylan also revealed not only will they perform their beloved 1996 album in its entirety at every stop of the extensive outing, they’ll also play Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ Long After Dark from front to back.
“Coming back after such a long time, we wanted to do something special for the 30th anniversary of Bringing Down the Horse. We decided to play what seems to be our fans’ favorite Wallflowers album, and for us, we wanted to play one of our favorite Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers records, Long After Dark,” explained Jakob Dylan.
The Bringing Down The Horse 30th Anniversary Tour begins with previously announced dates spanning April 17 through June 30. New dates start in July with performances in Livingston (Montana) on July 1, Little Rock on July 30 and Huntsville (Alabama) on July 31.
The Wallflowers will bring the celebratory trek to the Southeast, Northeast and Midwest in August. Additionally, September shows in Missouri, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin have been tacked on. The tour is currently set to end with a string of previously confirmed November dates in Europe.
Tickets for the new dates go on sale this Friday, March 20.
