Passion Pit mapped out their Pretty Penny Tour. The 30+ date summer excursion shares its name with the project’s forthcoming EP.

The Pretty Penny EP is described in a press material as a companion piece to the group led by singer-songwriter-producer Michael Angelakos‘ ‘ debut EP Chunk Of Change “bearing many of Passion Pit’s beloved hallmark production and songwriting characteristics, but highlighting Michael’s growth and development.”

“The EP will serve as an exciting collection of songs that honor the past while eyeing the enormous amount of new material that he intends to release with the full band (a first for Passion Pit) in the near future,” the statement continued.

The tour kicks off June 6 at Middle Waves Music Festival in Fort Wayne and continues through August with performances in Detroit, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Chicago, Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., Denver, Seattle and many other cities. The routing also includes festival appearances at Tennessee’s Bonnaroo, Summerfest in Milwaukee and the Up In The Sky Festival in Aspen, Colorado. Angelakos and his bandmates will close out the tour in California with shows in Oakland on August 16 and Los Angeles on August 18.

Passion Pit intends to perform new music as well as classic songs. Angelakos is joined in the group by Giuliano Pizzulo (lead guitar/samples/synths), Eric Scullin (bass/synths), Denzel Cox (organs/synths) and Ben Barter (drums/drum machine). Stay tuned for the artwork, tracklist and release date.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. local time after a series of presales.
