Robert Randolph & The Family Band with Raquel Rodriguez :: 3.29.17 :: The Roxy :: West Hollywood, CA

Sacred steel specialist Robert Randolph brought The Family Band to the legendary Roxy in West Hollywood on Wednesday night. Randolph and his band are touring in support of the recently released Got Soul and were joined by a few special guests for their Los Angeles area performance. L.A. soulstress Raquel Rodriguez kicked off the action at The Roxy before Robert Randolph & The Family Band hit the stage.

RR&TFB were joined by actor/vocalist Craig Robinson of The Office and Hot Tub Time Machine fame on vocals for a cover of “Use Me” by Bill Withers and Vulfpeck’s Theo Katzman on guitar and vocals for Stevie Wonder’s “Have A Talk With God.” In addition to a heaping helping of newer material, Robert also led his crew on versions of “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” by Michael Jackson and Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.” Photographer Rob Chapman was on hand and shared a full gallery of images from the evening:
