Robert Plant brought his Saving Grace project to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday. Plant led the group through the beloved Led Zeppelin song “Ramble On” as part of the appearance.
Saving Grace features singer/accordion player Suzi Dian, cellist Barney Morse-Brown, guitarist Tony Kelsey, multi-instrumentalist Matt Worley and drummer Oli Jefferson. Plant and the band swung by the Ed Sullivan Theater after finishing their North American tour one night prior with a performance at New York City’s Cathedral of Saint John The Divine.
The episode proper featured Robert Plant and Saving Grace performing “Higher Rock” from their 2025 self-titled debut album. Suzi Dian dueted with Robert Plant on the song originally written and recorded by Martha Scanlan for her 2018 album, The River And The Light.
Robert Plant and Saving Grace stuck around for a bonus performance of “Ramble On.” The outfit’s acoustic rendition of the song from Led Zeppelin II with lyrics inspired by The Lord Of The Rings has been a staple of their setlists. Dian played accordion and harmonized with Plant on the six-minute “Ramble On.”
