Robert Plant recently performed for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series with his folk ensemble Saving Grace. The Led Zeppelin frontman delivered a five-song acoustic set that showcased material from his latest album, Saving Grace.
The session included the traditional spiritual “Gospel Plough” and Martha Scanlan‘s “Higher Rock.” Plant also performed Low‘s “Everybody’s Song” and Moby Grape‘s “It’s A Beautiful Day Today.”
The set closed with a reimagined version of “Gallows Pole,” a traditional song Plant originally recorded for the 1969 album, Led Zeppelin III. Plant was joined by Suzi Dian on vocals and accordion; Matt Worley on guitar, banjo, cuatro and background vocals; Tony Kelsey on guitar; Barney Morse-Brown on cello and Oli Jefferson on drums.
