Robert Downey Jr. Shines On Police Cover With Sting

Back in October of 2011 Sting was feted with a 60th birthday concert at the Beacon Theatre in NYC that featured a stacked lineup of performers who sang the former Police front man’s most-beloved songs with him. While the evening saw the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder and Billy Joel cover Sting’s tunes, there was an unlikely performer who stole the show -actor Robert Downey Jr.

Iron Man joined Sting and his band for a righteous and extremely impressive cover of The Police gem “Driven To Tears.” Pro-shot footage of RDJ’s performance has surfaced and went viral last night, so we wanted to share it with our readers. Take a look:
