The End Is Nero: Queens Of The Stone Age Announce North American Tour 2023

Queens of the Stone Age will hit the road later this summer to embark on an extensive North American tour, their first since 2018. The End Is Nero North American Tour comes in support of QOTSA’s forthcoming new studio album, In Times New Roman..., which arrives on June 16 via Matador Records.

The band — Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Dean Fertita, Michael Shuman and Jon Theodore — will be joined by openers Phantogram and The Armed for the East Coast leg. Viagra Boys and Jehnny Beth kick off the action in the Midwest and on the West Coast.

Queens Of The Stone Age recently returned to the stage with sets at the Boston Calling and Sonic Temple festivals. Press materials heralding the upcoming trek declared:

The End Is Nero Tour is an invitation from Joshua Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore to come celebrate the end of the world, which we hear is “in a month or two.” They would like to encourage the obscene and the clean, the outcasts and the weirdos, and anyone and everyone in between to attend, this is where you belong. Leave your judgment at the door, bring anything and everything else.

On August 3 QOTSA launch The End Is Nero Tur in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Homme and his bandmates then make stops in Toronto, Pittsburgh, Bridgeport (Connecticut), Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Portland (Maine), New York City, Raleigh, Asheville and Atlanta before ending the first North American leg at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater on August 19.

After a month off Queens Of The Stone Age begin the second and final leg with an appearance at Chicago's Riot Fest on September 16. More Midwest tour dates follow along with gigs in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Utah over the remainder of September. A West Coast swing starts in Portland, Oregon on October 2. QOTSA then hit Vancouver on October 3, Seattle on October 4 and San Francisco on October 6 ahead of a tour-closing set at Sacramento's Aftershock festival on October 8.
