Pro-Shot Video: Phish Shares Massive ‘Chalk Dust Torture’ From SPAC

One of the clear highlights of Phish‘s Summer Tour so far this year was their rendition of “Chalk Dust Torture” and the massive subsequent jam from Friday’s show at SPAC. The quartet has shared official video footage from the recent standout second set performance in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The “CDT” video clocks in at a hefty 22:41 with the majority of footage taken up by the ensuing jam that took off following the A Picture Of Nectar track’s beginning structured sequence. The improvisation took many twists and turns and included Trey Anastasio ditching his guitar and heading to drummer Jon Fishman’s kit to take over the Marimba Lumina. Bassist Mike Gordon also set aside his main instrument and moved across stage to play piano alongside keyboardist Page McConnell.
