My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James is currently on a solo tour with the group Twin Limb tapped as opening act and performing as his backing band. Another collaboration recently took place during a Twin Limb set that saw James and his MMJ band mate Bo Koster join the trio on a Mazzy Star cover.
Pro-shot footage has been shared by Pitchfork from a concert earlier this year in which Twin Limb opened for their fellow Louisville-natives MMJ. The collective tackled Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” at the Iroquois Amphitheater in Louisville in May in which they got help from some of the headliners.
