The 2016 Lockn’ Festival featured a performance by a Phil Lesh & Friends lineup that included the Grateful Dead bassist alongside The Infamous Stringdusters, Phish drummer Jon Fishman and keyboardist Page McConnell, Furthur/JRAD drummer Joe Russo and guitarist Anders Osborne. Festival organizers have shared official video footage of one of the songs played by the ensemble during the Saturday, August 27 afternoon set.
Phil Lesh & Friends’ Saturday afternoon set included a pretty version of “Dire Wolf.” The Infamous Stringdusters shine on the tune as does McConnell, while Anders Osborne sat this one out. “Dire Wolf” was the second song played in the set following the “Scarlet Begonias” opener which can be viewed here.
