Pro-Shot Video: Lockn’ Festival Shares Phil Lesh & Friends’ ‘Scarlet Begonias’

The 2016 Lockn’ Festival featured a performance by a Phil Lesh & Friends lineup that included the Grateful Dead bassist alongside The Infamous Stringdusters, Phish drummer Jon Fishman and keyboardist Page McConnell, Furthur/JRAD drummer Joe Russo and guitarist Anders Osborne. Festival organizers have shared official video footage of one of the songs played by the ensemble during the Saturday, August 27 afternoon set.

Phil Lesh & Friends’ Saturday afternoon set started with an exciting version of “Scarlet Begonias” that included a short-but-sweet drum duel between Russo and Fishman. The song started as Lockn’s revolving stage turned to show off the huge ensemble. Members of the ‘Dusters handled vocals on the “Scarlet” opener. Watch how it went down:
