Pro-Shot Video: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Plays ‘Good Lovin’ & ‘Dark Star’ At Brooklyn Bowl

Last month Grateful Dead tribute act Joe Russo’s Almost Dead played a three night stand at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. Official 10-camera pro-shot footage of a pair of songs from the October 7 middle show of the the Fall Ball II run has been shared by JRAD.
Drummer Joe Russo, keyboardist Marco Benevento, bassist Dave Dreiwitz and guitarists Scott Metzger and Tom Hamilton opened the concert with a debut take on Bob Dylan’s “Tough Mama.” They then spent the next 28+minutes working through “Good Lovin'” and “Dark Star” which can be seen in the video below:
JRAD followed the first set with an acoustic mini set performed on a stage built over the venue’s bowling lanes. The second set that night featured special guest guitarist John Mayer of Dead & Company sitting-in.
