Pro-Shot Video: Holly Bowling Interprets Grateful Dead & Trey Anastasio On New Year’s Eve

Pianist Holly Bowling rang in 2017 with a New Year’s Eve concert at the Cutting Room in New York City. Holly has shared official video footage of her instrumental interpretations of a pair of Grateful Dead classics and a Trey Anastasio original that he’s also played with Phish.
The footage features Bowling playing “Help On The Way” > “Slipknot!,” but rather than complete the Dead’s typical trifecta with “Franklin’s Tower” Holly went in different direction. She instead transitioned into Trey Anastasio’s “Plasma,” which the guitarist has played with his solo band and with Phish.
