Pro-Shot Video: Amanda Shires Covers Leonard Cohen For Amazon Music

Earlier this year Amazon Music debuted a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “I’m Your Man” performed by Amanda Shires for the service’s Love Me Valentine’s Day playlist. Officially-shot video of the stripped-down solo performance by Shires has been shared by Amazon.

“We have taken a thousand road trips together and I have drunk hundreds of bottles of wine with him, ever since I found him in that record store in Lubbock, Texas,” Shires told Rolling Stone regarding Cohen, who passed away last year at the age of 82. Best-known as a fiddle player, Shires can be seen and heard playing ukulele during the performance that utilized only two microphones to record.
