Prince Rolls Through More Than 50 Songs In Hollywood

Prince has been making the most of his time in Los Angeles following a “take over” of The Arsenio Hall Show last week. The Purple One played surprise shows at the Hollywood Palladium on both Friday and Saturday nights, with the Saturday gig running over three hours and featuring over 50 songs.

As noted by Vintage Vinyl News, Prince hit the stage just after 10 p.m. and “55 songs (some in shortened versions & not including snippets placed in the middle of songs), five encores and 3 hours and 40 minutes later, the show was finally over.” Over the course of the evening Prince performed six of Purple Rain’s nine tracks, six tunes from Sign O’ The Times and a slew of other tunes. We’ve seen some epic setlists in our day but this one just might take the cake:
