This Friday and Saturday, Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will return to his home away from home for a pair of Phil Lesh & Friends shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Earlier today the venue announced Lesh and his band will be joined by one of New Orleans’s signature bands at one of the upcoming concerts.
The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will join Phil Lesh & Friends at The Cap on Friday night. Phil’s band for the evening already included Karl Denson, Robert Randolph, Jackie Greene, Ross James, Jason Crosby, Tony Leone and Alex Koford. While Phil hasn’t performed with Preservation Hall Jazz Band in the past, the New Orleans group did play a set with Lesh’s Grateful Dead band mate Bob Weir at the Peach Music Festival in 2015.
Tickets for the concert are available via Ticketfly.
