2024 marks the 50th anniversary of author and humorist Garrison Keillor debuting his popular weekly radio show A Prairie Home Companion in 1974. The occasion will be honored with a guest-filled show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium tomorrow (Thursday, January 11) with a livestream available for purchase through

Garrison Keillor and his rollicking troupe will be joined in Nashville by Sam Bush, Heather Masse, Christine DiGiallonardo, Stuart Duncan, Bryan Sutton and Chuck Mead. Music director/keyboardist Richard Dworsky will lead the band with The Royal Academy of Actors (Tim Russell, Sue Scott and sound-effects wizard Fred Newman) also aboard.


The webcast begins on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT. All livestream purchases include 48 hours of unlimited replay after starting the show.

Thursday’s concert comes as part of a year-long celebration of A Prairie Home Companion’s 50th Anniversary. A number of additional events are planned with the schedule laid out on Keillor’s website.
