Post Malone performed another guest-filled set in Nashville last night while making his Grand Ole Opry debut. Malone shared the storied Opry stage with Brad Paisley, Lainey Wilson, Vince Gill, John Michael Montgomery and The War and Treaty.

Malone’s Grand Ole Opry performance followed another recent concert in Nashville that featured several musicians who contributed to his upcoming debut country album, F-1 Trillion, which comes out tomorrow, Friday, August 16. Malone also previewed F-1 Trillion with guest-aided sets at Stagecoach and Outside Lands.

Paisley, who performed with Malone at Stagecoach, introduced Posty, telling the audience:

“The thing about this nice young man that we’re about to introduce onto the stage is that this moment might mean more to him than anything he’s ever played before. He’s someone who made his mark in other formats but has a country heart. He immersed himself in the Nashville way, came here, and said, ‘I’m going to make an album with country musicians and friends.’

“They drank a lot of beer, pulled all-nighters in the studio, and came up with something special. That album comes out tomorrow night, and it’s going to be the greatest thing you’ve ever heard. He’s not just a country singer, but one of the best musicians, artists, and people I’ve met. Please welcome, for his debut on the Grand Ole Opry, Post Malone.”

Veteran Nashville guitarist Vince Gill joined Malone at the onset of his Grand Ole Opry debut. The set began with Gill’s song “One More Last Chance,” which was also part of Malone’s Stagecoach set, and featured Paisley on guitar. The Nashville icons continued to emerge with John Michael Montgomery taking the Opry stage to perform his song, “Be My Baby Tonight.”

Malone then recruited guests who contributed to F-1 Trillion to perform songs they co-wrote for the album. First up was singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson who joined for the live debut of “Nosedive.” Paisley then retook the spotlight to accompany Posty on the first public offering of “Goes Without Saying.” One more F-1 Trillion premiere was in store as The War And Treaty collaborated on “California Sober,” which was co-written by Chris Stapleton who features on the album track.

The rest of Post Malone’s Grand Ole Opry debut was rounded out with the F-1 Trillion song “I Had Some Help,” followed by “Sunflower,” the song Malone and Swae Lee recorded for the soundtrack to the 2018 animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
