Next year in celebration of the 100th concert held in support of the Teen Cancer Trust charity organization founded by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, the co-founding members of The Who will come together to play a pair of special concerts next year. The two shows at Royal Albert Hall in London will feature special acoustic presentations of the group’s famed rock opera Tommy.
Taking place March 30 and April 1, 2017, the two shows will mark the first time Daltrey and Townshend will present Tommy together since 1989. Each night will feature a complete presentation of the Townshend’s rock opera, followed by a set of The Who classics from throughout their storied 50-year career.
The Who also confirmed additional concerts in the UK surrounding the Royal Albert Hall shows which are make-up dates for a canceled run last August and September. Those five dates were originally billed as part of the band “Greatest Hits” tour, but their rescheduled performances will now feature “a new focused presentation of Tommy drawn from the Royal Albert Hall concerts including a brand new video program specially produced for these shows.”

Tickets to the Royal Albert Hall concerts go on sale on September 23 at 9 a.m.
