Photos & Setlists: Dominican Holidaze 2015 Kicks Off With The Disco Biscuits & Umphrey’s McGee

Dominican Holidaze :: 12.3.15 :: Breathless Resort & Spa :: Punta Cana, DR

The 2015 installment of Dominican Holidaze began on Thursday at the Breathless Resort & Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Arriving fans were treated to a public soundcheck from the Disco Biscuits as they got settled. The main stage action kicked off with a toast featuring members of the Cloud 9 Adventures team along with tDB bassist Marc Brownstein and Umphrey’s McGee keyboardist Joel Cummins. Umphrey’s took the stage first for a pair of sets that focused entirely on originals. The Chicago rockers’ second set started and ended with “JaJunk,” while the encore was a version of “The Triple Wide” featuring a “Rhiannon” jam. Then it was time for Bisco. The jamtronica pioneers weaved in and out of songs throughout a pair of sets containing material from their now 20-year career.

Holidaze continues today with activities, excursions, a sunset show from the Biscuits followed by sets from Break Science, Papadosio, STS9 and Nightmares On Wax.
