Last Friday, Umphrey’s McGee continued a West Coast swing with a performance at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California. As previously covered, UM delivered a bust-out filled two-set show that saw guitarists Jake Cinninger and Brendan Bayliss don acoustics for a portion of the concert. It was during the acoustic segment in the first set that the two musicians broke out Led Zeppelin’s “Bron-Yr-Aur” for the first time since 2008 as well as the full band performing the 30db cut “Susanah” for the first time since 2014. Not finished digging deep, Umphrey’s led off the encore by busting-out ZZ Top’s “Cheap Sunglass” which had also been on the shelf since 2014.
