The Disco Biscuits & theNEWDEAL :: 03.26.16 :: Capitol Theatre :: Port Chester, NY

Saturday, Jamtronica quartet The Disco Biscuits played the second show of a debut two-night stand at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Like Friday night’s concert, Canada’s theNEWDEAL provided an opening performance ahead of tDB’s two-set affair. The Biscuits settled into last night’s show with a jam followed by a first set bookended by “Bernstein & Chasnoff” and highlighted by monster inverted takes on “Shelby Rose” and “And The Ladies Were The Rest Of The Night.” The second set was anchored by a 30+ minute “Above The Waves” (inverted), the start of “Mr. Don,” as well as a cover of LCD Soundsystem’s “Home.” The evening’s encore included a sample of A Tribe Called Quest’s “Check The Rhyme” within “Caves Of The East” which was followed by the conclusion of “Mr. Don” to finish out the finale. Check out Stephen Olker’s photos as well as full show audio below:
