The Disco Biscuits & theNEWDEAL :: 03.25.16 :: Capitol Theatre :: Port Chester, NY
Jamtronica pioneers The Disco Biscuits made their Capitol Theatre debut last night in Port Chester, New York at a show featuring an opening set from Canada’s theNEWDEAL. The Biscuits opened the show with a cover of Frank Zappa’s “Pygmy Twylyte” which led into “Spraypaint Victory.” Just the third “Rainbow Song” since 2012 emerged out of the “Spraypaint” jam. A 20-minute “Spectacle” followed ahead of “Helicopters” and the end of “Spraypaint Victory.” The second set featured 40 minutes worth of “Mindless Dribble” separated into two distinct segments. “Highwire” was also split into two parts and included the debut cover of Carl Carlton’s “She’s A Bad Mama Jama” in the middle as well as the second “Dribble” section and “Orch Theme.” The Disco Biscuits concluded the show with a “Frog Legs” encore. Tonight, tDB and tND return to the Capitol Theatre with a webcast available via nugs.tv. Check out Stephen Olker’s photos, video of the cover debut and full show audio below:
