The first weekend of this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival took place in Austin’s Zilker Park October 2 – 4. Approximately 75,000 festivalgoers enjoyed a bevy of performances from nearly every corner of the live music world. Highlights included Austin’s own Gary Clark Jr. sitting in with Foo Fighters, the Alabama Shakes showing rock still thrives for some acts in 2015, The Strokes dusting off rarities, Billy Idol playing the hits and Moon Taxi repping the jam scene well with a set that included a cover of David Bowie’s “Fame.” Photographer John Croxton was on hand to capture the action.
