Phish ‘Story Of The Ghost’ Vinyl Among Record Store Day Black Friday 2019 Releases

Phish‘s 1998 studio album The Story Of The Ghost will be re-released on vinyl at independent record stores as part of Record Store Day Black Friday 2019. Gov’t Mule, the Jerry Garcia Band, Colonel Les Claypool’s Fearless Frog Brigade, Dave Matthews Band and Eric Clapton are among the other artists with releases on the Record Store Day Black Friday 2019 list that go up for grabs on November 29.
The Story Of The Ghost has been remastered for the double 180g vinyl, foil-stamped set. Eight thousand copies will be available via the “RSD First” program on Black Friday. The “RSD First” program also features the first ever vinyl release of GarciaLive Volume One, which contains the Jerry Garcia Band’s March 1, 1980 performance at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey. GarciaLive Volume One has been remixed and remastered from 24-track recordings for the 5-LP release of which 4,500 copies will go on sale November 29.
Colonel Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade will unveil 3,000 copies of Live At The Great American Music Hall on vinyl this Record Store Day. The 12-track collection was recorded during a pair of 2000 concerts at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall and includes a complete performance of Pink Floyd’s Animals LP. Additionally, DMB will put out an official recording of their September 10, 2018 concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as Live At The Hollywood Bowl on vinyl with 4,000 copies available. Plus, Gov’t Mule will expand upon their recently released Bring On The Music – Live At The Capitol Theatre live album by issuing 2,000 copies of Bring On The Music – Live at The Capitol Theatre: Vol 3 on vinyl this Record Store Day and Clapton will release 1,500 copies of 12″ vinyl featuring “Home For The Holidays” backed by “For Love On Christmas Day.”
