Earlier today [jb_band_link y slug=”phish”] held a soundcheck prior to their debut at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater tonight. Frontman Trey Anastasio shared an interesting bit of information during the pre-show session – that Phish will head back to Nashville next month to record a new album.  There has been no confirmation or other mentions of the potential sessions, so take what Trey said with a grain of salt. However Phish recorded some of their latest studio album, 2014’s Fuego, at producer Bob Ezrin’s Anarchy Studios in Nashville giving credence to Anastasio’s comment. The band had previously announced they will not tour this fall. Phish has debuted a handful of new originals this tour including “Mercury,” “No Men In No Man’s Land” and “Blaze On.”
