Phish will release an official live recording of the band’s November 12, 1994 show at Kent State University’s MAC Center this Thursday, March 12 via LivePhish.com. Previews of the set have been airing on SiriusXM’s Phish Radio with a final replay set for Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. ET hosted by Phish archivist Kevin Shapiro.
The quartet’s show at KSU started the second leg of their 1994 Fall Tour. Among highlights were the familiar “Runaway Jim”/”Foam” pairing to start, an otherworldly “Down With Disease” into “Have Mercy” into “Down With Disease” segment, a beautiful “Harry Hood” and an acoustic run of “The Old Home Place,” “Nellie Kane” and “Foreplay/Long Time.” The upcoming set marks the first time the band’s cover of Boston’s “Foreplay/Long Time” has been included on an official release.
