Rua details planning Phish’s New Year’s Eve gag that rang in 2020 [Watch Here]. The choreographer/actor/dancer confirms Anastasio’s platform malfunction was not intentional or faked. The pair discusses rehearsals, recruiting the dancers/singers that played the “clones” and other aspects of preparing the 45+ minute production. Rua then explains how, along with musical director Carmel Dean, they improvised on the fly during the show once Trey’s platform became stuck in place several feet above the MSG stage.
