Phish Announces 1994 Gamehendge Show For ‘Dinner And A Movie’

Phish announced their July 8, 1994 show at Great Woods in Mansfield, Massachusetts as the next installment in their Dinner And A Movie archival video series. The show, which featured a complete performance of guitarist Trey Anastasio‘s The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday senior thesis (also known as “Gamehendge”), will air on Tuesday, August 4 at 8:30 p.m./5:30 p.m. PT.

The Summer Tour 1994 show opened with “Llama” and segued into “N02” which led the audience into on journey to the fourth live performance of Gamehendge. The Great Woods first set was the last time the band performed a complete Gamehendge. The second set contained the rarely played Jewish folksong “Yerushalayim Shel Zahav,” as well as “You Enjoy Myself” that featured a cover of “Frankenstein” within and the version of “Stash” that appeared on the Live One live album.
Phish selected nonpartisan voter registration non-profit Headcount as this week’s beneficiary. HeadCount recently launched the “Check my Status” voter registration drive in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who enter by checking their voter registration online will be in the running to win “A Year Of Phish.” The prize includes one year supply of Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream, a pair of tickets to any show once the band returns to the road, free access for one year to LivePhish+ and LivePhish webcasts and a poster autographed by Phish.
