Phil Lesh To Team With Steve Winwood As Part Of 78th Birthday Run

Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will turn 78 years young on March 15. In typical fashion, he will celebrate the occasion with a run of shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.

The big news is that the run opener, set for March 14, will feature full sets from Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band as well as Steve Winwood. Lesh and Winwood last performed together back in 2003 during The Dead’s tour and hopefully will do so again at The Cap. On March 15 and 16, Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band will also play the Port Chester, New York venue. Special guests are expected to be announced soon.

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 22 at 12 p.m. ET. (3/14, 3/15 & 3/16 Links)
