Phil Lesh To Reunite With Rob Barraco As Part Of Brooklyn Bowl Show

A few weeks ago Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh announced a rare multi-city run in which he’ll be joined by The Terrapin Family Band, vocalist Nicki Bluhm and sacred steel specialist Robert Randolph. Today, Lesh has expanded the run and will bring in an old friend to augment the lineup.

Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band and special guests Nicki Bluhm, Robert Randolph and Dark Star Orchestra keyboardist Rob Barraco will play Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on October 30. Barraco was a member of Phil’s most accomplished post-Jerry solo project, the Phil Lesh Quintet aka “The Q.” Rob and Phil have only shared the stage a handful of times in recent years.

The Terrapin Family Band will consist of guitarist Ross James, drummer Alex Koford and guitarist Grahame Lesh. Barraco will take the place of usual TXR Family Band keyboardist Jason Crosby, who is aboard for the other shows on the run in Washington D.C., Asbury Park, Camden and Port Chester.

Tickets for Phil’s return to Brooklyn Bowl go on sale this Friday, September 15 at 12 p.m. ET via Ticketfly.
