Terrapin Crossroads co-owners Phil Lesh and Jill Lesh have established a fund to benefit the staff of the San Rafael, California venue/restaurant while its closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the Grateful Dead bassist and his son, Grahame Lesh will be among those performing as part of a livestream today, Wednesday, May 6.
“Starting this week, in support of our remarkable employees, Terrapin is bringing you tunes from Phil, Grahame, and many of the remarkable musical members of our community; from our living rooms to yours,” reads part of a note from Phil & Jill. The livestream will start at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and can be viewed on the JamBase Livestreams Calendar via the venue’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.

“We hope that while you enjoy the music, you’ll express your appreciation for our wonderful staff. There are over 100 staff members, the people who make Terrapin so special, who are out of work while our clubhouse is closed,” continues the note from Phil & Jill Lesh. “We’re launching this fund to support them directly, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards staff bonuses. If you can spare it, please consider supporting them – any amount helps.” Head to the Terrapin Crossroads Staff Appreciation Fund page on Indiegogo to donate and for a look at available perks.
