Phil Lesh & Friends Cancel Bay Area Concert Due To ‘Unforeseen Circumstances’
Tickets will be refunded automatically for the Frost Amphitheater show.

Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh‘s concert on May 5 at Frost Amphitheater featuring an intriguing Phil Lesh & Friends lineup has been called off. The show originally slated to be held at the recently renovated Bay Area venue has been canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances,” as per a note on the bassist’s Instagram page.
Phil was supposed to be joined by guitarists Marcus King and Grahame Lesh, multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby, drummer Tony Leone and Trey Anastasio Band horn section consisting of trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick, trombonist/vocalist Natalie Cressman and saxophonist/vocalist James Casey at the Frost. The 8,000-capacity venue is situated on the campus of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Refunds will be processed automatically at the original point of purchase. “Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause,” continued the note on Phil’s Instagram page. “We’re sad to miss you all in Palo Alto next month, but we will see you back in the Bay Area soon!”
