Phil Lesh And Friends To Play Two Nights At Lockn’

Last year Furthur headlined the inaugural Lockn’ Festival with a series of sets that included a guest spot from Trey Anastasio and a performance of the classic Grateful Dead album Workingman’s Dead. While Furthur will be on hiatus for the majority of 2014, Phil Lesh & Friends are aboard to play two nights between September 4 -7 at the 2nd annual Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, VA.

Lesh’s lineup for Lockn’ has yet to be revealed, but Furthur drummer Joe Russo retweeted the announcement leading us to believe he’ll be one of Phil’s friends at Oak Ridge Farm. Lockn’s announcement of Phil’s participation included the words, “expect the unexpected,” so we have a feeling this won’t be typical Phil & Friends’s performances.

On Monday it was revealed Widespread Panic will play two nights at Lockn’ 2014, while yesterday Lockn’ organizers announced the Allman Brothers Band will make their debut at the festival this September.

Tickets for Lockn’ are available through the event’s website.
