Jam scene stalwarts Perpetual Groove are in the middle of completing their most extensive tour in years. PGroove’s Fall Tour 2016 spans September through early December and included a stop at The National in Richmond on September 24. The quartet recently announced they have shared an official recording of their visit to The National on a you-name-the-price basis as a Thanksgiving treat.
Perpetual Groove’s Live At The National features two hours and 41 minutes worth of music and can be downloaded via Bandcamp. Guitarist Brock Butler, drummer Albert Suttle, keyboardist Matt McDonald and bassist Adam Perry mixed beloved originals such as “Only Always,” “Mr. Transistor,” “It Starts Where It Ends,” “TTFPJ,” “Teakwood Betz” and “Speed Queen” with covers of LCD Soundsystem’s “All My Friends” and “Diggin In The Dirt” by Peter Gabriel. Head to Bandcamp to name your price or to grab Live At The National for free.
