Pearl Jam Debuts ‘Comfortably Numb’ In Brazil
By Scott Bernstein Nov 12, 2015 • 8:05 am PST
On Wednesday night, Pearl Jam brought their South American Tour to Arena do Grêmio in Porto Alegre, Brazil; where band and fans withstood a torrential storm. Eddie Vedder & Co. performed an 18-song main set followed by two lengthy encores the second of which started with the Pearl Jam debut of “Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd.
“Comfortably Numb” wasn’t even the first Pink Floyd cover of the night as Pearl Jam worked “Interstellar Overdrive” into their main set. As Consequence Of Sound noted Eddie Vedder has performed “Comfortably Numb” in the past with Roger Waters, but last night marked the first time Pearl Jam played the tune.
