Pearl Jam canceled a second concert due to Eddie Vedder’s ongoing vocal issues. The band’s performance in Prague tonight (Thursday, July 21) will no longer take place as planned. Read the note from Pearl Jam regarding the Prague show:
We were hopeful that Ed would make a recovery in time to perform tomorrow. He has seen a doctor in Prague and is continuing the treatments for his vocal cords, but unfortunately, there is still no voice available. The effects on his throat from the last outdoor show are still just too brutal.
We again send our sincere apologies to all of those who have worked intensely to put on the show. Even bigger apologies to those that were expecting to attend. We’ve always had memorable shows here and are with you in our extreme disappointment.
You can be guaranteed we are doing everything we can to help fix the situation. Again, so sorry.
Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.
Thank you immensely for your understanding.

Pearl Jam canceled their concert scheduled for Wednesday, July 20 at Wiener Stadthalle Hall D in Vienna, Austria. The band cited frontman Eddie Vedder suffering vocal damage as the reason for the cancelation.
Pearl jam took to social media to make the announcement, noting that “extreme circumstances … heat, dust, and smoke from the fires” at the band’s outdoor gig in Paris were responsible for Vedder’s vocal damage. Europe is currently experiencing a devastating heat wave that has led to wildfires and killed thousands of people.
Pearl Jam’s social media post also noted that Vedder had visited doctors but that his “vocal cords had not recovered.” Read the full note from the band below:
