PBS To Premiere ‘The Best Of Bluegrass Underground’

Tomorrow night, PBS will debut The Best Of Bluegrass Underground featuring highlights of performances from the series’ first five seasons. Widespread Panic, Jason Isbell, Andrew Bird and Old Crow Medicine Show are among the musicians appearing on the special.

Culled from tapings of the Bluegrass Underground live concert series on PBS, the one-hour special also includes footage of Lucinda Williams, Vince Gill, Doyle Lawson, Sarah Jarosz, JohnnySwim and Davina & The Vagabonds. Dubbed “The Greatest Show Under Earth” the Bluegrass Underground stage is housed in the Volcano Room, 333 feet beneath the Cumberland Plateau in the Cumberland Caverns of Tennessee.

PBS will air The Best Of Bluegrass Underground nationwide tomorrow, Friday, February 19 at 10 p.m. ET as part of the station’s Arts Friday programming. Follow this link to check your local listings.
