Paul Simon & Edie Brickell Release Acoustic Duet

They say the couple that sings together stays together, or something like that. Earlier this week Paul Simon & Edie Brickell made headlines following their arrests for a domestic dispute. The two have claimed the dispute was a rare argument gone bad and seem to have nothing but love for each other after more than 20 years of marriage. Yesterday, Brickell and Simon released a beautiful three-minute duet called “Like To Get To Know You.”

The tender ballad discusses the hardships of relationships while resolving with a chorus noting “I wouldn’t trade places with anyone, none of them.” Paul & Edie’s voices blend perfectly on the track, in which they’re backed by guitars, mandolins and other acoustic instruments. Take a listen:
