Paul Barrere & Fred Tackett Guest With Tedeschi Trucks Band On Little Feat Classic

On Saturday night, the Tedeschi Trucks Band played their last show before they embark on this summer’s Wheels Of Soul Tour. The TTB treated fans to one long set and an encore following a performance from Little Feat’s Paul Barrere & Fred Tackett at the Freeman Stage At Bayside in Selbyville, Delaware. Barrere and Tackett emerged during the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s set to lead the group on a Little Feat song.

Guitarists Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi led their 12-piece ensemble on a cover-heavy set in Selbyville. The TTB opened with originals “Made Up Mind,” “Laugh About It” and “Don’t Know What It Means” before performing a cover of “Keep On Growing” by Derek & The Dominos. Other covers played on Saturday include “Key To The Highway,” “Get Out Of My Life, Woman,” “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free” and “How Blue Can You Get.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band brought out the Little Feat guitarists towards the end of the set for a sizzling rendition of “Spanish Moon.” Barrere handled lead vocals on the song off Feats Don’t Fail My Now penned by the late Lowell George. Later in the set, Susan Tedeschi fronted the guest-less group on their signature “Angel From Montgomery” > “Sugaree” pairing ahead of an “I Want More” set closer. For the encore, the TTB said farewell with Joe Cocker’s “Space Captain.”
