Outlaw Music Festival To Take The Show On The Road This Summer

Willie Nelson has teamed with Blackbird Presents to announce the first leg of the Outlaw Music Festival featuring multiple bands performing in six cities between July 1 and 16. While Nelson & Family will headline all six outings, while other acts aboard for part of the tour include Bob Dylan, The Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit and My Morning Jacket.

The genesis of the event came last September, when the inaugural Outlaw Music Festival was held in Scranton. What was launched as a one-day concert in 2016 has been turned into a traveling festival in 2017. Six dates have been announced thus far, each featuring a different lineup, with word of additional performances to be revealed soon.

Outlaw Music Festival begins at Shrine On Airline in New Orleans on July 1 featuring Willie Nelson & Family, The Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real and other artists to be announced. Starplex Pavilion in Dallas hosts the traveling fest on July 2 with Willie Nelson & Family, Sheryl Crow, The Avett Brothers, Hayes Carll, Margo Price and Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real. Next up is a performance at Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arkansas on July 6 featuring Willie, Lukas, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Sheryl Crow and Margo Price.

The tour then moves on to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit on July 8 featuring Willie, Bob Dylan & His Band, Jason Isbell & 400 Unit, Sheryl Crow and Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real. A similar lineup is on tap for Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 9 with Margo Price and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats joining all the acts confirmed for Detroit. Outlaw’s first leg will end at Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse on July 16 with a bill including Willie Nelson, My Morning Jacket, Sheryl Crow and Margo Price.

Tickets for the first leg of the Outlaw Music Festival go on sale on April 21.
