Oteil Burbridge Hints At Lead Singing Duties On Dead & Company Tour

One of the best vocalists in Dead & Company is bassist Oteil Burbridge, yet his singing responsibilities have been few and far between over the course of the group’s first two tours. Burbridge hints that may change on the upcoming Dead & Company Tour in a new Instagram post.
Oteil wrote, “Scenes from Dead & Co rehearsal. Somebody might be getting to sing lead this summer…..” as the caption accompanying a photo from a band rehearsal. Burbridge has sung lead in the past as he would regularly lead the Allmans through “Franklin’s Tower” and as noted by L4LM fronted JRAD on “Dark Star” and the Daze Between Band on “Scarlet” > “Fire.” Dead & Company kicks off a month-long jaunt on May 27 in Las Vegas.
