Original Drummer Steven Adler Guests With Guns N’ Roses At Dodger Stadium

Metal legends Guns N’ Roses brought their “Not In This Lifetime Tour” to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Thursday and Friday nights. The band welcomed Appetite For Destruction era drummer Steven Adler to share the stage with old mates Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan for just the third time since April 7, 1990 on Friday.

Adler emerged towards the end of last night’s set to get behind the kit for “Out Ta Get Me” and “My Michelle.” Otherwise, the show featured a similar setlist to others on the tour featuring career-spanning material and a handful of classic rock covers including a jam on “Layla” by Derek & The Dominos. Steven Adler was fired from Guns N’ Roses in July of 1990 for substance abuse issues with his last performance taking place on April 7, 1990 at Farm Aid. While Adler was replaced by Matt Sorum, Frank Ferrer is the drummer on GN’R’s current tour. Steven previously sat-in during the Not In The Lifetime Tour stops in Cincinnati and Nashville.
