Opening Night | Neutral Milk Hotel Returns After 15 Years

The influential indie rock band Neutral Milk Hotel returned to the stage last night for the first time in 15 years as they begin a busy eight months of touring that is currently scheduled to run through early June 2014. NMH mixed material from both of their full-lengths and one EP in front of about 500 fans at the 2640 Space at St. John’s Church in Baltimore.

Photography and video wasn’t allowed, so there hasn’t been many images of the band’s return that have surfaced thus far. But we do know what they played:

The 19-song performance included a whopping nine songs from NMH’s landmark 1998 album In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. Check out a Vine showing off the scene in Baltimore:
