Opening Night | Dave Matthews Band Summer Tour 2015

Last night Dave Matthews Band kicked off an extensive summer tour at Austin360 Amphitheater in Austin, Texas. DMB reprised the format from last summer’s shows as they treated fans to an acoustic first set along with an electric second set.

Austin’s acoustic first set included Dave covering John Denver’s “Take Me To Tomorrow” without any of his bandmates and a rendition of “Grace Is Gone” featuring Matthews, Carter Beauford, Stefan Lessard and Tim Reynolds. The show opened with “Snow Outside,” the first time that tune has kicked off a show. DMB started Set Two with “#41” and mostly focused on setlist staples though “Raven,” which the band only played three times last year, was included as well. The evening’s other rarity, the short “Water Into Wine,” was performed as part of a four-song encore that brought the evening to a close.

The Dave Matthews Band’s summer tour continues in Dallas on Friday.
