The Disco Biscuits :: 2.21.15 :: Electric Factory :: Philadelphia, PA

The Disco Biscuits brought a three-night hometown stand at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia to a close last night. After Dopapod opened the first two shows of the run (and exchanged drummer sit-ins on Friday), the Disco Biscuits ended the run by their lonesomes with a three-set, marathon performance on Saturday night. There were plenty of song sandwiches in store for hometown fans including a “Caterpillar” > “Humuhununukunukuapua’a” (inverted) > “Caterpillar” sequence in the first set as well as “Shelby Rose” > “The City” > “Shelby Rose” and “Spacebirdmatingcall” > “Bernstein & Chasnoff” (inverted) > “Spacebirdmatingcall” suites in the second set. The jamtronica pioneers closed out the run by debuting a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “One More Saturday Night.” tDB will perform with Grateful Dead drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado on April 17.
