Olivia Rodrigo concluded her four-show run at Madison Square Garden in New York City with a final concert on Tuesday night. Rodrigo was accompanied by Jewel on a performance of the latter’s hit “You Were Meant For Me.”

Jewel’s unexpected appearance followed singer-songwriter Noah Kahan dropping by the first show of Rodrigo’s MSG run to duet on his song “Stick Season.” Tuesday’s concert wrapped the North American leg of Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour, which is in support of her 2023 album, GUTS. The tour’s next leg takes place in Europe.

“She is such an incredible songwriter with one of the most magical voices,” Rodrigo told the MSG crowd. “When I first started learning to write songs, I would listen to her album Pieces Of You before I went to bed. She’s incredible, and it’s such an honor that she’s here with me tonight.”

Jewel then emerged and hugged Rodrigo. The pair then performed “You Were Meant For Me,” Jewel’s hit song, co-written with Steve Poltz, that appeared on Jewel’s breakthrough 1995 debut album mentioned by Rodrigo, Pieces Of Me.
